Before selecting a unit
Choose integrated HPERV when each home needs all three functions. The ceiling-suspended heat pump offers optional ERV for projects with different ventilation arrangements.
The energy-recovery section of the HPERV is the same enthalpy core as the Breeze 42–170 CFM ERV (ICMBCOFF1AYS, HVI ID 2005500): 86% sensible recovery efficiency at 42 CFM at 0 °C and 67% at −25 °C, with no electric preheater. Use that HVI record for the ventilation side of an energy model.
Concealed ceiling models free up floor space in compact apartments, modular homes and hotel rooms. Plan accessible service openings and choose optional external condensate-pump interlock where needed. The 18,000 and 25,000 Btu/h vertical models serve larger homes with two or more bedrooms, with standing-height service access and optional 3, 4 or 5 kW electric heating.

The heat pump side is rated separately at AHRI conditions; both sets of figures are in the HPERV submittal on the product page. Quote the model number with the HVI ID when the project requires certified ventilation data.
Yes. A low-load home built to a passive-house standard is served by one unit: the 8,500 Btu/h ceiling-suspended model with the ERV option for smaller plans, or the 12,000 Btu/h ceiling-ducted HPERV where one unit carries the whole home and its ventilation. Modular builders can fit the unit, ducts and the two exterior openings in the factory. Send the plan, location and ventilation rate for a selection; this is an application example rather than a published project reference.
