High-temperature water. More possibilities for electrification.

A boiler retrofit starts with the temperatures the building actually needs. FLEX R515B delivers hot water up to 85°C (185°F), bringing heat-pump heating to suitable existing radiator systems and higher-temperature process duties. Simultaneous cooling and heating puts recovered energy to use when demands overlap. EXINDA works with project teams to integrate the equipment with existing water circuits, controls and operating schedules.

What does 85°C hot water make possible?

It extends heat-pump heating to suitable existing high-temperature radiator systems, central hot-water plants and industrial process-water duties. Buildings can add electric heating and chilled-water cooling while retaining serviceable heating terminals where their design temperatures and capacity match the selected system. R454B offers 7°C chilled water and hot water up to 60°C; R515B raises the hot-water capability to 85°C (185°F).

Can FLEX replace a boiler without replacing every radiator?

FLEX R515B can supply the higher water temperatures required by many existing radiator systems, reducing the need to replace functional heating terminals. Review the building’s design heat load, radiator output, supply and return temperatures and available water-side source. The resulting design can support a full boiler replacement or a phased upgrade with supplementary or backup heat.

How does simultaneous heating and cooling support the project?

FLEX water-to-water scroll and four-pipe inverter screw systems produce chilled water and hot water at the same time. Heat recovered from cooling serves the hot-water load, making use of energy within the facility. Hotels, healthcare buildings and industrial sites with overlapping cooling and hot-water demands can integrate both duties into one coordinated plant.

Where does FLEX fit in a process-heating project?

The R515B range supplies hot water up to 85°C (185°F) for compatible process-water circuits, hot-water preparation and preheating duties. Selection considers required supply and return temperatures, water quality, flow, operating hours and the available source or recoverable heat. EXINDA provides performance data and application support at the project conditions.
