VERTICAL-STACK HEATING, COOLING AND ENERGY RECOVERY VENTILATION
EXINDA AURA Vertical Stack is a 60 Hz all-in-one heat pump ERV for apartments, multifamily buildings and multi-room applications where a ceiling-mounted unit is not feasible. One indoor cabinet provides heating, cooling and 42–135 CFM balanced energy-recovery ventilation without a conventional outdoor condensing unit for each dwelling.
Is this the right vertical-stack HPERV?
- Loads fit the verified capacity at the project design temperatures.
- Corridor-wall access, two exterior air paths and indoor ducts can be coordinated.
- Structural support for 325 lb, 4 kW auxiliary heat and condensate routing are accounted for.
Do not use the 620 CFM heat-pump outdoor-air value as the fresh-air ventilation rate.

Heating, Cooling and Ventilation Performance

Questions Before You Specify
Is 620 CFM the fresh-air ventilation rate?
No. It is the outdoor airflow for the heat-pump circuit. The balanced ERV ventilation range is 42–135 CFM.
What happens below 5°F?
The compressor is disabled at and below 5°F. Up to 4 kW electric auxiliary heat remains, so the design-load calculation must confirm whether it is sufficient.
How is this different from the ceiling-ducted AURA?
The vertical-stack cabinet is for corridor-wall or vertical service arrangements. Capacity, duct routing, access, dimensions and structural load are different.
What static pressure is available?
Rated indoor airflow is stated at 0.36 in. w.g., with up to 0.50 in. w.g. maximum indoor ESP. The outdoor heat-pump circuit is rated at 0.60 in. w.g.
What should an enquiry include?
Provide room loads, design temperatures, ventilation airflow, duct static pressure, service space, electrical supply, condensate route, quantity and schedule.
