Commercial Air-to-Water Heat Pump Chillers for North America
Commercial air-to-water heat pump chillers provide hydronic heating and cooling for buildings using water-based distribution systems. For North American projects, selection should consider design ambient temperature, required leaving-water temperature, voltage, building load, staging strategy, pump and buffer-system design, and the project’s controls and BMS requirements.
Where commercial air-to-water heat pump chillers are used
- Multifamily and mixed-use buildings
- Commercial buildings with hydronic fan coils or air handlers
- Schools, hospitality, healthcare, and institutional projects
- Retrofit projects replacing or supplementing boiler and chiller systems
- Projects using modular plant design for staged heating and cooling capacity
EXINDA FLEX modular heat pump chillers
EXINDA offers commercial R32 air-to-water heat pump chillers with North American configurations. Current active product pages include 12 Ton and 24 Ton modular heat pump chillers.
Selection criteria for hydronic projects
Nominal tonnage is only the first step. Engineering teams should review published performance at the project’s actual ambient and leaving-water conditions, then verify system flow, pressure drop, minimum active water volume, staging, defrost behaviour, electrical requirements, controls, and service access.
Technical submittals and BMS coordination
Commercial project review typically requires more than a catalogue. EXINDA provides model-specific technical documentation for equipment selection and project submittal review. Where BMS integration is required, the project team should confirm the supported interface and point list for the selected model and control package.
North American project support
For selection, provide the building heating and cooling loads, outdoor design condition, target leaving-water temperatures, electrical service, required redundancy or staging, and the intended hydronic schematic. EXINDA can then identify the relevant model documentation for engineering review.
