EXINDA FLEX 33.5 RT R515B Water-to-Water Scroll Heat Pump Chiller
Heat recovery for hotels, hospitals and plants.
In a building with a chiller plant, the cooling tower throws away heat that the boiler then burns gas to make again. EXINDA FLEX takes that heat from condenser water and delivers hot water up to 185°F, producing chilled water at the same time. 33.5 RT cooling, 53 RT heating, 460 V / 3 Ph / 60 Hz, with up to eight units sequenced.

185°F hot water by source water temperature
Hot water reaches 185°F whenever chilled water leaves the unit at 50°F or above. Warmer source water raises capacity and COP.
| Source water inlet | 185°F hot water | COP | 158°F hot water | COP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 104°F | 75.8 RT / 910 MBH | 3.42 | 84.5 RT / 1,014 MBH | 4.82 |
| 95°F | 67.7 RT / 812 MBH | 3.10 | 75.1 RT / 901 MBH | 4.41 |

What source water temperature is needed for 185°F hot water?
Chilled water leaving the unit at 50°F or above. From 86°F condenser water, FLEX delivers 60.4 RT (725 MBH) at 185°F with a COP of 2.81.
Can it recover heat from cooling tower condenser water?
Yes. FLEX takes heat from the condenser water loop before it reaches the tower, delivers hot water up to 185°F and returns cooler water to the loop.
Can it replace a boiler that serves existing radiators?
Where radiators and coils are designed for supply water up to 185°F, FLEX can serve them directly. Check emitter output at the selected supply temperature.
What should I send for initial selection?
The hot-water temperature and load, the source water available with its temperature and flow, and whether the cooling output has a use in the building.
