EXINDA FLEX 40 Ton R454B Four-Pipe Modular Heat Pump Chiller
Heating and cooling at the same time, from one plant.
In schools, hotels and offices, interior rooms need cooling while the perimeter still needs heat. EXINDA FLEX four-pipe supplies hot water and chilled water together, moving the heat it takes out of the chilled-water loop into the hot-water loop: 34 tons of cooling and 48 tons of heating from 35.2 kW. It heats down to −13°F, runs on 208, 460 or 575 V, and cascades up to 16 units.

Can a four-pipe heat pump replace both the boiler and the chiller?
Yes. The unit supplies hot water and chilled water from separate circuits at the same time, and heats down to −13°F ambient. Up to 16 units cascade for larger plants.
What hot water temperature is available in a Canadian winter?
140°F at ambient above −4°F, and 130°F from −13°F to −4°F.
Is it available in 575 V?
Yes. The unit is available in 208 V, 460 V and 575 V, three-phase, 60 Hz.
Can I connect the unit to an existing two-pipe distribution system?
A two-pipe loop runs in one mode at a time. To heat and cool different zones at once, the building needs separate hot- and chilled-water distribution.
Can I keep the existing boiler during a phased upgrade?
Yes. A retained boiler can provide supplementary or backup heat. Define setpoints and changeover sequence as part of the plant design.
