EXINDA 20kW R290 Monoblock Air-to-Water Heat Pump

R290 RESIDENTIAL AIR-TO-WATER HEAT PUMP

The XDASH20D3 is a 20 kW R290 heat pump for buildings larger than a house: a villa, a small apartment block, a workshop. It runs on three-phase power and can be cascaded, up to eight units on one system. Two of them supply the hot water for a 20-apartment building near Milan.

Heating Performance at Stated Conditions

Nominal heating is 20 kW at A7/W35 to EN 14511. Capacity falls as outdoor temperature drops and as leaving-water temperature rises. The rows below are the maximum modulation row at each condition from the model submittal, W35 only; they show the ceiling, not the rated point. Use the complete table for design and confirm the duty at your leaving-water temperature.

Questions Before You Specify

Does the 20 kW nameplate mean 20 kW is available at every condition?

No. 20 kW is the nominal heating capacity at A7/W35. The published table shows capacity changing with outdoor temperature, leaving-water temperature and compressor modulation. Size the system from the project design condition.

What leaving-water temperatures are published?

The submittal publishes 35–60 °C in heating mode and 7–27 °C in cooling mode. Required capacity and COP must be checked at the actual target water temperature, especially for radiator and DHW applications.

What freeze protection information is needed?

The product describes automatic anti-freeze control, but the project designer must still define water quality, minimum flow, power continuity, glycol concentration where applicable, isolation strategy and drain-down provisions for the local climate.

What should I send for a selection, and what do I get back?

Send the project country, design heat loss, outdoor design temperature, target leaving-water temperature and terminal type. Flow and pressure drop, DHW and buffer arrangement, controls and quantity can follow once the unit is shortlisted. You get back a capacity check at your design condition and water temperature, the submittal and dimensional drawing, the certificates and lead time.
