EXINDA 45kW R290 Air-to-Water Commercial Heat Pump

45 kW commercial heating, cooling and hot-water production with R290 refrigerant. Model FBMBHT4B2E3, 380–400 V / 50 Hz / 3 Ph.

Nominal heating: 45 kW  |  Nominal cooling: 34 kW  |  Heating water: 35–60°C  |  Ambient operating range: −25 to 43°C

Is this the right commercial heat pump for your project?

The EXINDA FBMBHT4B2E3 is designed for commercial and light-industrial hydronic systems that require space heating, cooling and hot-water production from one outdoor air-to-water unit:

  • Hotels, apartment buildings and student accommodation with central hydronic distribution.
  • Schools, offices, restaurants, gyms and healthcare facilities requiring heating and cooling from one system.
  • Projects that need staged capacity and system redundancy; cascade control supports up to eight units.

Selection should be based on the required leaving-water temperature and the available capacity at the project design ambient temperature—not the 45 kW nominal rating alone. Use the performance examples below, then review the complete technical submittal for the final operating point.

Heating performance at project conditions

The available heating capacity changes with outdoor temperature and leaving-water temperature. These published points show why the design condition must be checked before selecting unit quantity:

Outdoor air Leaving water Heating capacity Input power COP
8°C DB 55°C 43.09 kW 14.53 kW 2.97
2°C DB 55°C 39.90 kW 14.46 kW 2.76
−12°C DB 55°C 34.87 kW 15.64 kW 2.23
−25°C DB 55°C 25.76 kW 15.99 kW 1.61

Questions before you specify

Does the unit provide 45 kW at every outdoor and water temperature?
No. The 45 kW value is the nominal heating rating. Available capacity and COP change with outdoor temperature and leaving-water temperature, so the project design point determines the required number of units.

Can several units operate as one system?
Yes. Cascade control supports up to eight units, allowing capacity staging and added redundancy for larger hydronic systems.

Can it supply high-temperature water?
The published heating leaving-water range is 35–60°C. Confirm the required load, ambient design temperature and terminal-unit water temperature against the performance table before selection.

What project information is needed for selection?
Provide the project location, design outdoor temperature, required heating and cooling loads, target leaving-water temperatures, power supply, application, estimated quantity and required certification or documentation.
