Its aging gas boiler plant operated inefficiently during evenings, weekends and school holidays, when only part of the campus was occupied. Replacing the boilers with one large central heat pump was considered, but this approach would have responded poorly to changing loads and created a single point of failure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe selected Education HVAC solution uses four EXINDA 90 kW R32 commercial inverter air-to-water heat pump chillers in a three-duty, one-standby configuration. The system provides 360 kW of installed heating capacity and 288 kW of installed cooling capacity. DC inverter EVI scroll compressors allow output to follow actual demand, while operation from −25°C to 43°C and leaving-water temperatures up to 60°C support integration with the existing hydronic network.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe existing boilers remain available for peak winter demand and emergency backup, providing a manageable path toward phased campus electrification. Modbus RTU or BACnet MS\/TP communication connects the modular heat pump plant to the building management system for staged operation, runtime rotation, occupancy scheduling and individual module isolation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWith the EXINDA Education solution, classrooms, sports facilities and offices can follow separate operating schedules. The school gains improved part-load control, easier maintenance, system redundancy and a scalable route toward lower-carbon heating.
