Although the proposed system could meet the peak load, it offered limited flexibility during maintenance, responded inefficiently to varying server demand and created a potential single point of failure. A planned service event or unexpected equipment fault could place critical cooling availability at risk.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eTo improve reliability and support future expansion, the cooling plant was redesigned as a modular N+1 system. The final Data Center solution uses four EXINDA 30 Ton modular water-cooled scroll chillers in a three-duty, one-standby arrangement. The installation provides 90 tons of active cooling capacity and 30 tons of backup capacity. If one chiller requires inspection or maintenance, the remaining modules can continue supporting the active cooling load.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe chillers operate on 460V\/3Ph\/60Hz power and connect to the building management system through BACnet or Modbus. Staged operation allows cooling output to follow current demand, while runtime rotation helps balance operating hours across the modules. Individual module isolation simplifies service work without requiring the entire cooling plant to be shut down.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis modular Data Center cooling configuration provides scalable capacity, easier maintenance and greater resilience for continuous server operation. Additional modules can be incorporated as IT demand grows, helping facility owners plan future expansion without replacing one oversized central machine.
